Hi, I'm pSacramento!

I’m a researcher and UX designer focused on Bitcoin, privacy, digital payment systems and digital freedom.

I was born in South America, and I now work in the public sector in a Central European country, contributing to the digitalization of payment systems for government offices.

On my free time I'm most of the time reading, writing or building software with AI.

Professional Experience

My professional background began in UX design, where I worked on digital products and user experiences for global companies. That experience taught me how to connect research, usability, systems thinking, and real-world user needs.

Over time, my work expanded beyond design into research, especially in areas where technology and human freedom intersect.

Academic Background

I bring an academic background that combines both the social sciences and technical understanding. This combination has shaped the way I approach my work, inspiring curiosity about people, systems, and human behavior, as well as the interplay between technical infrastructures and social impact.

"The computer can be used as a tool to liberate and protect people, rather than to control them."

- Hal Finney

My Relationship With Bitcoin

I’ve been involved with Bitcoin since 2020, and it has had a profound impact on my life. It pushed me to grow in SO MANY areas, both personally and professionally. Most importantly, it gave me a new lens through which to think about technology, responsibility and the future.

Over time, it became clear to me that Bitcoin has a chance of becoming a foundational part of the future of money and freedom in the digital age.

I want to play my part in making this future a reality.

Funded Projects and Research

My work has been supported by the Human Rights Foundation’s Bitcoin Development Fund two different times. Through that support, I contributed to the Open Source projects and carried out research projects such as my work on Brazil’s Pix system and the lessons it offers for Bitcoin and digital payments.

These opportunities allowed me to combine research, writing, and product thinking in projects that aim to strengthen freedom technology and improve understanding around money, privacy, and infrastructure.

Talks, Writing and Public Contributions

Talk I presented at dev/hack/day in 2024

I’ve shared my work through writing, public presentations, and speaking at Bitcoin-related events, including dev/hack/day in Prague. I write about Bitcoin, privacy, payment systems, and the broader social and political implications of digital infrastructure.

I’m especially interested in contributing where research, clear communication, and product thinking can help strengthen important ideas and projects.
